To provide a quality, developmentally appropriate preschool program for children 3 years to 5 years in an atmosphere that promotes active learning and stimulating experiences that children can explore individually and in groups. 

 

To serve the needs of the community by offering preschool experiences to families who are seeking high quality preschool experiences for the children in a safe, warm and supportive environment that will allow children to be successful in their learning experiences and that meets the needs of culturally diverse families.

 

The Santa Rita Union District's Little Bear Creek State preschool (Little bear Creek preschool) is a preschool and childcare center that provides a safe, loving, secure environment that fosters each child's unique cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development within a well-planned environment. Our program strives to meet both age and developmentally appropriate practices. we believe that children learn by doing and experience hands on learning. We aim to extend and build upon the child's knowledge and also support the children in building strong supportive relationships.

 

We believe children to construct knowledge through play and we encourage children to actively explore their environment, make choices and became independent thinkers. We establish and support respectful, warm and accepting relationships between adults and peers. We encourage problem solving and logical thinking by establishing clear, reasonable limits and employing positive guidance techniques. We recognize that our students have unique qualities and feel that children learn best by active and experimental learners.

 

Little Bear Creek preschool is operated and overseen by the Santa Rita Union School District (SRUSD), with the support of the Department of social Services' Community Care Licensing Division (CCL) and the California Department of Education (CDE).We operate a full day (9 hours), year-round program.
